Dr. Jason McTavish graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1997. After completing his internship in an impoverished area of Chicago, he continued gaining experience after graduation by treating underprivileged patients for an additional year. Shortly after moving to Colorado in 1998, Dr. McTavish signed a lease for future office space in Highlands Ranch. What once was a vacant field in Highlands Ranch has now been the location of Eastridge Chiropractic for over 10 years. Most of the other businesses in the building have moved and Chiropractors in the area have come and gone, however Dr. McTavish has recently resigned his lease to ensure Eastridge Chiropractic will be here well into the future.
Dr. McTavish has pursued continuing education in multiple areas of interest. His focus on mechanisms of low back and disc injury, spinal disc disorders and neurologic examination have aided in proper diagnosis of spinal related conditions, while courses on spinal decompression and spinal rehabilitative exercises allow optimal treatment of these conditions. Gait analysis as well as foot mechanics, orthotic applications and extremity adjustment techniques have enabled Dr. McTavish to diagnose and treat the most difficult cases that have previously not responded to chiropractic care or physical therapy. Other areas of interest and continued education include orthopedic/chiropractic research, therapy and diagnosis of shoulder injuries, x-ray and advanced imaging, scoliosis treatment, nutrition and soft tissue/whiplash injuries due to automobile accidents.
Dr. McTavish and his wife Karen have two children, Alice, and Jack and two dogs. They enjoy spending time outdoors enjoying Colorado's unique landscape.
